I like your ideas about magic. My favorite characters inthe book are Poco and Juliette. Poco is funny the way she talks to animals andshe is a good thinker. My favorite part was when Poco tried to get the bunnylaying on her back on the sidewalk and talking to it. I like your books verymuch, keep writing them. I am eight years old and am going to be an artist. Wewere just in Iceland. Can you write a book that happens there? It is a very magicalplace. Sincerely, Emma

Dear Janet, I really enjoyed reading The Gold Dust Letters. My mom read the fabulous story to my sister and I after dinner when we were done getting ready for bed. My sister and I would hurry through that process so we could hear your story. Well anyway, I loved the magical ending. Juliette the cat also gives a little magical feeling in the story. I strongly like how the story ends and goes on to Looking for Juliette. Your books are so wonderful.

I really loved The Gold Dust Letters, and I read a few more books by you too that I also enjoyed. I love how it is all imagination and how a lot of the people in your stories are about kids like me. I love a good mystery and magic. When it comes to imagination I've got it. You are my favorite author and you write wonderful stories. When I grow up I want to be an author, just like Janet.
